Switch to English and offload

I have a really hard time maintaining this site. On one hand, I wish to post here more often, but on the other, I want to polish everything too much, and the amount of work required to do that scares me. In the end, I don't post anything.

Reading similar personal websites, I think I might have an idea to change that. I started writing here in Polish because it's my native tongue, but over the years, I’ve drifted more and more into the international web, where the main language is English. Understanding English isn’t a problem for me, but maybe I don’t yet feel comfortable writing in it beyond a few sentences. In the past, I had to write more—even my Bachelor's thesis was written in English—but years without practice have taken a bit of my confidence.

So, I was thinking… maybe it would be nice to switch this site to English by default and treat it more as a playground for improving my writing. I don’t want to delete old content, but maybe I could make my old Polish texts a bit harder to find. Some of them are outdated anyway.

But to keep going and not end up with empty promises, I need some kind of incentive. In the past, I did a few 365 projects, where I took photos every day for a year, and I liked how the focus was more on consistency rather than quality—though quality comes with repetition. However, with writing, I don’t think that’s possible for me. I can shoot a few decent photos in a matter of seconds, edit them, and post them within minutes. Writing, however, takes a lot more time. It’s not that easy yet to form a well-structured sentence from the different thoughts in my head.

I stumbled upon a solution that might help: 100 Days To Offload challenge to publish 100 posts on your personal blog in a year. That sound like something I could do. They may not be perfect, but I guess with time they will improve over time. Also to give myself some kind of a progress bar I will number them at the bottom. Like that:

Wish me luck!
