I wanted to make it more frequent, but as usual, life get in the way and there's no time and/or energy to write. Nevertheless, I'm trying to keep myself from forgetting about this site altogether.
🏃♂️ I took part in my first running events since school days. First was Company Run in Berlin and I casually run it with my colleagues after skating the same distance (5km). After that I convinced my girlfriend to take part together in local event where I could check my own pace on 5km (wasn't great, but I managed).
🪚 I started my first woodworking project. I'm trying to make new top of a desk from pallet wood. I would like to have bigger desk and it is good opportunity to learn how to work with wood.
🛶 I enjoyed watching Ed Pratt traveling all the way, from Source to Sea down the River Thames. Quite the adventure with really nice reception. It was great seeing how people cheering for him and helping him along the way.
💎 I did know about lab grown diamonds, but I haven't heard before that you can get ruby as well and not necessary in the lab.
🖲️ Took me almost the year since I moved into the house but I finally installed Home Assistant on the mini PC that was lying around. Already configured some sensors I bought from Ikea and was able to also automate blinds in the windows (not everywhere yet, but at least in the bedroom). So far it's great and I'm thinking what else can I do to have smarter home.
🚙 I'm preparing to watch new season of The Grand Tour. I haven't watched episodes yet, but I checked now hosts and it could be alright. To wrap up previous era I also read Mr Wilmans Motoring Adventure by Andy Wilman, who worked with Clarkson since Top Gear. Maybe not many new things for me, but it was nice to also get to know other member of the team and his perspective. For fans definitely something to check.
🪓 Fortunately I don't have to swing axe in real life to get some source of heat, but sometimes it's relaxing thing to do. Now there's good looking firewood splitting simulator.
